Plan for the future.
Celebrate your life.
By sharing your wishes in a legacy plan, you can pass on your wealth and give your loved ones what they need to celebrate your life.
Every journey begins with a first step.

STEP ONE
Start the conversation.
Talk to your family, friends, and loved ones about how you want to be remembered. Whether you’re creating a legacy plan for yourself or a loved one, it’s never too early to get started. If you’re not sure how to talk your parents, or another loved one, we’ve put together a few ideas to break the ice on our resources page.

STEP TWO
Redefine your wealth.
Wealth is more than what you own, it's also what you know. A family recipe or story, household items, a car, and more can help the next generation. Make a list of all the wealth in your life and decide who could benefit from your gift.

STEP THREE
Name your beneficiaries.
A beneficiary is the person who will receive your gift. You can name this person online for many financial accounts and the can receive your gift without going to court. Don’t worry, you can change your beneficiaries at anytime!

Legacy planning is a way to share your wishes and pass on your wealth so your loved ones can spend time celebrating your life when you’re no longer with them.
Traditional do-it-yourself legacy planning—with its focus on money and property—does not meet the needs of the Black community. Whether you have a little or a lot, you can build a legacy plan that honors your wishes and leaves a legacy for the next generation. Everyone deserves to have their wishes known and every family deserves to celebrate their loved one without stress and worry. I Am Willing is designed to meet anyone wherever they are in their legacy planning journey.
I Am Willing is legacy planning for Us, by Us.
